I always thought that at some point the name of my blog would become a liability. An anachronism. At some point the high tech equipment industry would recover to the point that it would no longer be trying to survive a recession, and my blog title would be… be obsolete! Yahoo! It uses four scales that yield, when scored and combined, 16 different personality types. It can mean a lot of different things to different people. But it never means you are immune to the recession. We all feel the impact. At times we may experience the negative impact: job loss, reduced income, fear, anxiety/insecurity, loss of esteem, loss of home or retirement. To me, “recession-proof” means to [...] Call it the worst semiconductor cycle yet or simply “The Recession,” the fact is - many are looking for work. Still, most of my friends and colleagues are still working in performance improvement related jobs at high tech companies - equipment trainers, eLearning developers, technical writers, and so on. This one was devastating for those involved. The small training organizations that there once were, now no longer exist. She says there are more bad announcements still to come this week.
