Recession-Proof Your Training Department: Idea Summary

Things you can do to cut costs

  1. Use the PBET Workshop “Recession-Proofing Discount.”  To utilize the discount, always check the Schedule and Registration page at the Mr-PBET website.  Currently there is an across-the-board discount through all of 2009.  There is an additional discount if you sign up for my Newsletter, which you can do at the left.
  2.

  3. Replacing training with job aids, where applicable.  Not every task requires training.  The PBET Steps include ”Step #1 - Identify.”  After determining the list of tasks, identify which tasks require training and which tasks can be performed without training - for example, with a job aid instead.  You may be able to cut one or two days from your course.  Job aids include everything from “the manual” to posters, labels, online help, mistake-proof engineering, and more.
